Blood Loss

Rubber Gloves: For general use and sanitation while treating open wounds on yourself or others.

CAT Tourniquet (Combat Application Tourniquet): Bleeding control for life-threatening injuries involving extreme blood loss.

Combat Gauze Celox Rapid Z-Fold: Wound-packing gauze with a hemostatic agent for clotting.

Israeli Compression Bandage (6ʺ): Emergency wound dressing.

Compressed Cotton Gauze (4.5 inches x 4.1 yard—6 ply): Compact; ideal for wound bandaging and wrapping of injuries.

Hemostats or Clamps: To clamp off open bleeding and assist with suturing.

Sterile Sutures/Wound Closure Strips: to keep the skin together and facilitate healing on cuts.

Burns

4×4 WaterJel Burn Dressing: A sterile-packed burn dressing sized to fit common burn areas like the palm or the back of the hand, the neck, etc. Has a shelf life of 5 years.

Blisters

Leukotape: The “it” item for blisters. When used in conjunction with gauze to cover a blister, this tape will stick to skin for weeks, even standing up to seat and water from bathing. Can also be employed for use as general medical tape.

Broken Bones/Fractures

Cotton Cravat(s): Large, ideal for splinting, bandaging, and even as a makeshift tourniquet.

SAM Splint: It can be used to splint all limbs, but most importantly it can also be utilized as a cervical collar for neck/spine injuries.

Bodily Function

Mylar Emergency Blanket: Used to hold in body heat for warmth and potentially fight hypothermia

Moldex R95 Particulate Respirator: Keeps particulate, debris, dust, and germs out of the lungs.

Nasopharyngeal Airway (NPA #28): The airway adjunct of choice for tactical professionals. Used to keep one’s airway open.

ACE Wrap Bandage: Has a host of possible applications. Can be used as a pressure bandage for a wound, a tourniquet, or rigged into a sling, etc.

Band-Aids (variety of sizes): Keeps dirt and germs out of wounds, as well as holding antibiotic ointment in place.

Antibiotic Ointment: For the treatment of minor scrapes and open wounds. Expedites the healing process.

Trauma Shears: Can serve as a general cutting tool for a myriad of uses beyond cutting gauze or bandages.

Tweezers or Forceps: For removing anything embedded in the skin.

Safety Pins: Are always handy and can have an indefinite number of uses from assisting with bandaging to gear repair.

Common Medicines (Aspirin, Immodium AD, Benadryl, etc.): For the general aches, pains, allergies, fevers and discomforts that can pop up without warning.

Combat Wipes: Perfect for personal hygiene when a shower or water source for bathing isn’t readily available.

Insect Repellant: Keeps potential disease or virus-carrying insects away.

Medicated/SPF Lip Balm: Used to heal and protect. Lips are very susceptible to harsh weather conditions and extreme sunlight.

WetOnes Disinfecting Wipes: For general cleanliness and multi-use, antibacterial.

Hyfin Vent: for use exclusively on deep chest wounds. Prevents air from entering the wound while inhaling and allows air to escape during exhalation. Features a fail-safe system that allows the vent to keep working, even it it becomes clogged with blood.

ISH-WASH: Fits on a standard water bottle and works as an eye flushing mechanism.
