The hard composition sheath is indistructable and lends itself well to sheath modifications. You can see in the sample picture that we added an orbit sharpening stone using intertube bands. The sheath on this machete also has a built in sharpening unit which is very nice. We use these machetes all the time here at Willow Haven Outdoor and they never let us down. Guys here have modified them all kinds of ways. They are a very durable product.
